NightOwl Discovery joins other prominent companies and firms requiring Certified E-Discovery Specialist credential
Top technology-based litigation support firm requires CEDS for all project managers
Miami – NightOwl Discovery, a leading international provider of innovative e-discovery solutions, has become the sixth legal technology and consulting firm to require the Certified E-Discovery Specialist (CEDS) credential for all project managers and other key personnel.
The Minneapolis-based company is not new to CEDS certification. Scott Sterkel, Director of Sales and Marketing for NightOwl Discovery, and Albert Barsocchini, Senior Director of Strategic Consulting, were among the first professionals to take the CEDS exam. Thomas Palladino, President at NightOwl Discovery, is also a CEDS.
NightOwl Discovery, which offers a single-source solution for all litigation support services, including document review, data collections and forensics, and hosted e-discovery requires their project managers to be CEDS, or working toward CEDS certification, upon employment.
The Association of Certified E-Discovery Specialists (ACEDS) awards the CEDS credential to qualified candidates who pass a rigorous, proctored examination offered at more than 600 secure testing centers worldwide. Several hundred practitioners across North America, Europe and Asia have become certified.
“CEDS certification is a way to distinguish our company from competitors,” said NightOwl Discovery’s Sterkel, CEDS. “It helps us better serve our clients with sound advice when consulting with them.”
Charles Intriago, a lawyer, who is president of ACEDS, said, “We’re proud NightOwl Discovery, a respected e-discovery service provider, has taken this important step to assure the core competence of its project managers and provide its clients with evidence of its commitment to controlling risk and cost through knowledgeable and skilled professionals.”
NightOwl Discovery was a sponsor at the ACEDS Annual Conference in April. ACEDS will hold its 2013 Annual Conference from February 28 to March 2 at the Westin Diplomat in Hollywood, Florida.
