to join ACEDS Advisory Board
Miami – The Association of Certified E-Discovery Specialists today announced the appointment to its Advisory Board of James Bickley, Managing Director of E-Discovery and Consulting Services at TransPerfect Legal Solutions in Washington, DC.
Mr. Bickley, among the first persons to earn the Certified E-Discovery Specialist credential, is a respected industry veteran whose high-profile engagements include matters before the US Justice Department, Securities and Exchange Commission and Federal Trade Commission.
A senior member of TransPerfect’s ESI Discovery Team, he advises law firms, corporations and government entities on a wide variety of e-discovery issues to limit the scope and costs associated with document review and production. He has managed all elements of e-discovery in antitrust and intellectual property disputes, second request investigations, corporate compliance actions and cases brought under the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act.
Mr. Bickley also manages TransPerfect’s business development efforts in Washington, DC, and emphasizes training, industry awareness, and professional development to foster a greater return on his clients’ investments.

Mr. Bickley joins a distinguished group of experts on the ACEDS Advisory Board who hold a variety of positions in the widespread e-discovery terrain. They include a former president of the American Bar Association, a former Chief Justice of the Florida Supreme Court, and a member of the Federal Civil Rules Advisory Committee.
The ACEDS Advisory Board is led by Chairman Alvin Lindsay, a partner at Hogan Lovells in Miami. Other members include John Barkett, partner at Shook, Hardy & Bacon and past chair of the ABA’s National E-Discovery Institute; Carnival Corporation General Counsel Arnaldo Perez; and Kimarie Stratos, Senior Vice President and General Counsel of Memorial Healthcare System.
