Steeped in tradition dating back to the founding fathers, the legal profession has always been resistant to change. Unfortunately, that is a luxury no longer available to lawyers in the COVID era. For better or worse, a global pandemic has provided the necessary space and push to modernize the legal profession. The use of new technology tools will provide the needed flexibility and adaptability for law firms, legal institutions and corporations to come out of the COVID era stronger.

What was once considered essential, for instance a physical office, is no longer necessary. What was once considered optional or shunned, such as working remotely, is no longer optional and is actually now considered smart. In short, COVID-19 while permanently changing the legal profession has brought forth new technology that will keep the legal professional alive and relevant.
