January 10th, 2019 is the last day to renew your CEDS without re-taking the exam if you have lapsed. If you, or someone you know was an early CEDS, moved jobs or just unsubscribed from emails, give us a call during the next week to renew your CEDS without taking the exam. After January 10th, ACEDS will be formally notifying lapsed CEDS that they will be taken off the rolls. Rather than using the CEDS designation, lapsed CEDS can use an end date on their resume and LinkedIn profile and ACEDS will validate to the public that indeed, the person has passed the CEDS exam but is no longer active.
After January 10th, the cost to take the CEDS exam again is $795 and the cost for a training package with exam will be discounted 20%.
I wanted a certification that separates me from my peers. Upon discovering CEDS, I was convinced this was exactly the type of distinction I had been seeking. Since achieving CEDS certification, I’ve noticed immediate recognition from my organization, colleagues, and current and prospective clients. They acknowledge they are more comfortable working with a person who has taken time to seek such certification. CEDS has certainly been worth the small investment and should continue to beget returns for years and years to come.
