The Association of Certified eDiscovery Specialists is proud to announce Mary Mack, Executive Director has passed the CISSP® - Certified Information Systems Security Professional exam.

The vendor-neutral CISSP certification is the ideal credential for those with proven deep technical and managerial competence, skills, experience, and credibility to design, engineer, implement, and manage their overall information security program to protect organizations from growing sophisticated attacks.

Backed by (ISC)², the globally recognized, nonprofit organization dedicated to advancing the information security field, the CISSP was the first credential in the field of information security to meet the stringent requirements of ISO/IEC Standard 17024. Not only is the CISSP an objective measure of excellence, but also a globally recognized standard of achievement.

For the last several years Mack has been presenting on the need to obtain certifications and education in security and privacy as they converge on the eDiscovery space and there is a growing need for professionals in this area, and is an area of potential career growth.

The CISSP exam is 6 hours and requires a passing grade of 700/1000.  The CISSP draws from a comprehensive, up-to-date, global common body of knowledge that ensures security leaders have a deep knowledge and understanding of new threats, technologies, regulations, standards, and practices.

Mack said her years in IT helped provide the foundation for her deep understanding of the security space and years of experience delving into the technical aspects of digital forensics, data processing and handling eDiscovery issues as a whole.

“I am thrilled to have passed the CISSP, and highly encourage our eDiscovery to take a look at this test, especially if you have experience with networks and IT. There are other certifications that aren’t as technical as the CISSP such as the GLEG which I also recommend for eDiscovery professionals.”

This completes Mack’s trifecta of March certifications – Certified Access and Identity Manager (CAIM), Certified eDiscovery Specialist (CEDS) and last the CISSP.

Please join us in congratulating Mary Mack!
