Mr. Sloves has advised hundreds of businesses and civil/criminal litigation professionals on Computer Forensics, eDiscovery and other technological issues relevant to the practice. Many of his matters have included multiple parties and high-profile litigation working for the prosecution and defense in both civil and criminal matters including Military court in matters such as Capital Murder, Trade Secret Theft, Terrorism, Distracted Driving, Wrongful Death, Healthcare and General Commercial Litigation.
Mr. Sloves has completed over a thousand electronic evidence examinations globally and has forensically imaged thousands of computers, USB devices, cellular & smartphones and other devices. Mr. Sloves conducts analysis of Call Detail Records and the associated wireless cell tower locations and GPS data.
Mr. Sloves has provided affidavits, declarations, and has qualified as an Expert and testified in the State of Texas in both Civil and Criminal matters, and Federal Court.
Mr. Sloves is a member of the International Society of Forensic Computer Examiners (ISFCE) and is a licensed Certified Computer Examiner (CCE). Mr. Sloves is a licensed Private Investigator in the State of Texas. Has passed and maintained a Top Secret/SSBI US Government Clearance.
Steve Davis, Digital Discovery
As Principal and Director of Business Development, Steve Davis brings over 30 years of experience in the corporate investigations and legal service practice areas to Digital Discovery. Shortly after earning a Bachelor of Science in Marketing/Management with Honors from Illinois State University and a Master of Business Administration with Honors from the University of Illinois, Steve served as a team leader for two separate consulting companies conducting hundreds of investigations dealing with securities fraud, lender liability, borrower fraud, commercial disputes and attorney/accountant malpractice. Steve has extensive experience offering best practice solutions within litigated matters that require computer forensic collections and eDiscovery solutions. Because of his leadership role in the field of eDiscovery consulting, Steve has been accredited by the State Bar of Texas as a continuing education speaker and often lectures at CLE events covering recent case laws on computer forensic collections, spoliation, evidence defensibility and various other eDiscovery topics. Mr. Davis is a Licensed Private Investigator in the State of Texas and the Licensed Manger of Digital Discovery's Private Security Registration governed by the Texas Department of Public Safety.
Jack Deen, PwC Forensics
Jack Deen has over ten years of experience managing large digital forensics and electronic discovery engagements. Jack specializes in data processing, hosting, and managing large scale electronic document reviews. Jack has performed work across multiple industry sectors including life sciences, banking, oil and gas, insurance, manufacturing, and entertainment. Jack is also experienced with managing international engagements requiring coordination of collection, processing, hosting, and review across multiple countries.
Jack has managed a large-scale electronic document review consisting of documents collected from multiple South American countries. He has implemented analytics to increase the efficiency of the contract review team consisting of 130 reviewers. He has managed a team responsible for collecting and processing data for 50 custodians related to a private institution internal investigation. Jack has implemented custom Relativity review workflow to facilitate review of approximately 1,000,000 mobile phone text messages.
