UF Conference will be LiveStreamed

ACEDS is proud to join The University of Florida E-Discovery Project and 8th Judicial Circuit Bar Association to host the 5th Annual UF Law E-Discovery Conference on March 30, 2017. This full-day innovative conference focuses on the practical and cutting-edge issues affecting electronic discovery and data analytics. This year will be no exception and guests can attend in person or via livestream.  Conference organizers have secured FL Bsr approval for 6 General, 6 Technology and 1 Ethics CLE credits.  

Hosted by Bill Hamilton, George Socha and Dean Laura A. Rosenbury, the conference includes in person and live streamed sessions, with a live Career Day for students the prior afternoon.

ACEDS Executive Director, Mary Mack, will be moderating a judicial panel at the close of the conference with William Matthewman, United States Magistrate Judge of the Southern District of Florida, Meenu Sasser, Circuit Judge of the Fifteenth Judicial Circuit, Anthony Porcelli, United States Magistrate Judge for the Middle District of Florida, Gary Jones, United States Magistrate Judge of the Northern District of Florida and Ralph Artigliere, Retired Circuit Judge from Florida’s Tenth Judicial Circuit.

Other faculty members include Craig Ball, Julie Brown, Suzanne Clark, Kenya Dixon, Corey Lee, Ralph Losey, Mike Quartararo, Sonya Strnad, Phil Favro, Corey Douglas, Kelly Twigger, Michele Lieberman,Martin Audet,Ian Campbell, Michael Dalewitz, Canaan Himmelbaum and David Horrigan.

Doug Austin of the award winning blog, eDiscovery Daily, describes the conference, "The conference includes topics ranging from cloud/social media/mobile devices preservation to collections on a budget to meet and confer to defending your keyword search.  The use of artificial intelligence for document review is explored, as well as efficient and reliable document review using contemporary tools.  The day ends with a judicial panel where federal and state judges discuss what they now expect from clients and attorneys.  A link to the Agenda is here."
