As new data protection regulations are getting stricter, companies around the world are forced to reconsider the way they protect, handle and transfer Personally Identifiable Information. The proposed new EU data protection regime extends the scope of the EU data protection law to all foreign companies processing data of EU residents.
The new regulations will make it easier for non-European companies to comply with EU data protection rules but come at the cost of a strict data protection compliance regime with severe penalties. In this webinar we show you what to expect of General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and how to prepare.
In this webinar, Machteld Hiemstra, counsel with international law firm Simmons & Simmons, will be interviewed by Mary Mack, Executive Director of ACEDS on how companies both in the USA and EU can start to proactively prepare for the GDPR. Johannes Scholtes from ZyLAB will use actual customer cases to illustrate how utilizing the right eDiscovery solution can support companies in ensuring compliance with the ever stricter data protection and privacy regulations.
