May 11, 2016 | 1:00 PM – 2:00 PM EST | Sponsored by ZyLAB
Presenter: Johannes C. Scholtes Ph.D., Chairman and Chief Strategy Officer, ZyLAB
This very hands-on webinar follows the webinar interview of March 11 with Mr. Daniel J. Metcalfe by Mary Mack, Executive Director of ACEDS, and continues with practical suggestions on how cities, counties and agencies can proactively prepare for FOIA and Public Records Act requests and enable predictable discovery costs.
Johannes Scholtes and Paul Gettmann from ZyLAB will use actual customer cases to illustrate how utilizing the right eDiscovery solution can assist cities, counties and agencies in meeting specific requirements for FOIA and Public Records Act requests regardless of the size or type of the agency.
Government agencies will learn how to utilize the solution to:
- provide a workflow tool to support the FOIA / Open Records Act process of review and exceptions;
- maintain logs on how disclosure is made;
- estimate page count of disclosure before production giving the request an estimate of costs;
- produce in open format (PDF) and NARA accepted format;
- reduce costs associated with adding staff, duplicate file creation and paper file sharing.
